Edited by Loris Brissac | Written by Rubem Penz. The book was published in 2011, in order to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the Faraco de Azevedo Law Firm, based in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The target audience were the company’s clients and partners.
The design should present the founders’ tradition combined with the youthful spirit of their successors. It should not resemble a portfolio, but a work of literature, consisting of chronicles and testimonials. Solidness, tradition, expertise should be translated in light, elegant and sober ways.
We decided to search for visual metaphors for teamwork as a core concept. In nature, we found the idea of organized migratory birds flying in a V formation. There are usually birds leading the others, for guidance and protection, until they switch positions with other birds with greater energy.
On the cover, two birds can be seen through the window we created on paperboard. When the book is opened, we see the other birds flying together.
